Today's dailies are brought to you by Team T&D and Team R&B💕.
Team T&D and Lesley went out to the point today. They then hiked Keawa'ula side. Lesley found Squinty R330 and Kawika R407 before Tammy and Dave got there. Both seals were still there at the end of their day.
Their next find was PVKauai RW02 doing his hippo impression in the shallows. After RW02, they found three seals, Ka'ena RO40 was an easy ID. The other two seals took some time. One seal was molted and acted like a male protecting a female. But turns out, Lesley ID'd Huaka'i KG54 hanging out with R303 BG. Team T&D were happy to finally see Miss Huaka'i!
Team R&B did their search of the usual spots and didn't see any seals. They got to the next stop and looked over to where they just came from and "Boom" there it is a seal on shore. There was Kaale RH32 hauled out on shore at tracks.
When Team R&B arrived at the bay they saw there were multiple seals in the area again. It took some time to get all the ID's. Initially they stayed for an hour, left and went back. All the seals were still out there. There was RL20 Kalua, RH48 Lei Ola, RL12 Aukai and R3CX Nalu.
At another west side location they thought they were going to come up empty. Then walking over to the left they saw something.... a seal? a rock? It was a seal! Not just any old seal but little RP30 Puka with his applied bleach N30. To just seal the deal he did a flex and they got his tag. What a cooperative kid!
