10/05/2021 Tuesday Monk Seal Dailies

Today's dailies are brought to you by Lesley and Team R&B💕.  Lesley's Ka'ena update is part two of the dailies.

Team R&B  were out early morning at Tracks and saw a seal trying to haul out, but it turned around and left. They were able to ID RN14 Kalani. They saw him heading towards the outfall.  Team R&B headed over and sure enough Kalani arrived. He made some rounds in the outfall and then headed out. They headed over to another location hoping he would arrive but he did not.

Team R&B went to check out KoOlina, they were approached by a man who said there were two seals

with some person taking photos really up close and personal.  They headed over to that area and found Aukai RL12 with RH32 Kaale on shore. The two of them were snoozing peacefully.  Team R&B did not see the "photo person".

At the bay Mr. RL20 Kalua was still going at it all day lone in the outside of the bay. He was alone and on their afternoon check he was still there. He is relentless, green and fat. 

Arriving at another west side location they came across Miss Leina RL70, she is 95% molted looking quite pretty in her new coat. She has just a tiny bit left on her butt.  There was a man visiting with her, while he was on his cell phone. Team R&B didn't recognize him, didn't know if he was a volunteer or not.  Leina was aware of him on the rocks and talking.

Last stop on the west side, Team R&B noticed a couple of bicycles against the wall. There was also a seal snoozing right next to the bikes. They were able to ID R3CX with his new coat. Question is which came first the bikes or the seal?  There was another seal way pass him on shore. RL42 Leia is looking quite lovely in her new coat.  So nice seeing all these seals all shiny and new!
