Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 1:18 to 2:57 pm and there were four seals seen during that time.

In the middle of LPB were two seals:

Recent Weaner PO13: large weaner size, female belly and not tagged yet.

Weaner Male: weaner size, male belly and probably three tags. This could be RV68.

Down from the 3BS was an Adult Male: small adult size, male belly, no visible tags and about 20% molted.

Out on RRB was a Juvenile Female: juvenile to small sub-adult size, light female belly, at least two red tags.

Team R&B started on the west side their first find was the lovely Miss Kala RH76. She was well hidden and looking a little thin, but okay.

Also on the west side was Kai RM31 laying down on the hot rocks. He is looking healthy and handsome with a friendly crab on him.

Over by the outfall were two seals foraging. The bigger seal and the other was the mystery green seal. They were able to ID the bigger seal as Aukai RL12.  Both seals heading in the KoOlina direction.

Next stop was at plains, where they found RT06 Marvin. He was resting peacefully and is just one adorable little guy.

Heading back to the west side they decided to make a stop to see if

RS32 was around. And they were thrilled to find her again. She is a big girl, with a clean coat, perhaps she went through a molt recently.

Their next stop was at cliffs where they spotted two seals. Needless to say they were quite happy. The first one is a very green RP30, with his right side puka.

And then there was a newly molted Lei Ola RH48.

Then much to their surprise there was another seal. It was in the water bobbing up and down at all the inlets. They watched trying to get an

ID, the seal passed by RH48 and RP30 who were on the rocks. Then the seal went through a crevice and hauled out. It galumphed over the rocks. Finally Team R&B saw there were no tags, and a scar over the seals eye area, which gave them enough info to ID RG32.

They called it a day after this long hot walk.

August 5. 2026 Wednesday's Dailies

Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 12:13 to 2:41 pm and there were six seals seen during that time.

Near the LPB channel were RH76 Kala and PO13. The pup is looking huge and mom still looks healthy. There was not much activity from the two of them.

Behind waterfront rocks between the Middle Cliff and the 3BS was an Unknown Unknown probably sub-adult to adult size, new coat, no info on sex or tags.

Down from the 3BS was weaner RV52: weaner size, light female belly, at least two tags. She left about 1:54 pm and was not seen again.

On the rock flats on the Lanikai side of the SRI channel was a Sub-

adult Female: sub-adult size, partially molted, presumably female, no info on tags.

Out near the RRB channel was RV50: weaner size, female belly, no info on tags, applies N81 bleach.

Tammy was out at Ka'ena Point today and saw a variety of wild-life.

There were two seals one was ID'd as RG40 Holokai on the rocks. Then an Unknown did a swim by.

A couple of the albatross chicks have left, but the wedgie chicks are starting to hatch.

She saw two Kolea but wasn't fast enough to get a photo.

Team R&B were out searching for seals, while looking out over the water they kept seeing splashing.

After watching they could see way out were Eagle Rays...... very cool.

Next they saw the dolphins but they weren't as acrobatic as previous days. They split up, pod here and some there, very different behavior. 

They saw two seals out in the water, but were unable to get any IDs. Both were adult and one had red tags.

At another location they saw a green seal further away. They made the trek to get to the seal and were surprised to see RT06 Marvin. There he was alone on shore with no one bugging him. It's a good spot for him for now, no one around. 

They did a lot of walking today, and ended their day at yoks doing more walking. They were looking for RT98 where she was yesterday, but no wallows and no trails.

Then they spotted her with another seal way down..... more walking. They wanted to keep an eye on them. There was the lovely molting RT98 with her was RP30 Puka.  Someone put out three signs !! How nice.
