Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 12:25 to 1:45 today and there was one lone critter on island.
An unknown subadult, started at the back of LPB up next to the cliffs. Later it moved down towards the Lanikai side of rock flats. It was subadult size, newer coat, light belly and two tags. Thankfully the USA did some flipper flexes making the tags visible. Marilyn could not determine the seals gender.
Team R&B started their day with RH32 Ka'ale. They had seen him from afar and hurried over and when they got there they saw another seal. They first checked on Ka'ale and he has started his molt on his chest area.
The second seal was by the parking lot and they ID'd Aukai RL12.
Heading over to the bay, which was a zoo with boats and fishers. There were two seals foraging. The first ID'd was Lei Ola RH48 and second was R3CX Nalu. Seems these two have a thing going on, they been together for days. Lei Ola and Nalu were foraging around the boats and the jetty.
At another west side location they found the lovely RL70 Leina. She was lower rocks snoozing the day away. Her tags weren't visible but her white digits gave her away.
