Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 11:56 to 2:05 pm and there were eight seals seen during that time.

When Marilyn first started viewing both mom-pup pairs were on different parts of LPB. 

In the middle of LPB was Kala RH76 and PO11. On the 1BS of LPB was RL12 Aukai and PO12.  Marilyn was hoping the moms would stay on separate beaches, making it easier to ID, but thankfully she did see RL12's tags.

When she first looked there was a seal on the back of the rock flats Lanikai of LPB. She labeled this seal as a Sub-adult Male. The SM was seen leaving the rock flats at 12:06 pm and three minutes later hauled out on the LPB and moved up and partially behind RH76 and PO11.  The S/M (labeled as an adult male yesterday): sub-adult size, older coat with brown male belly with some green and two red tags.

Kala RH76 and PO11 snoozed, nursed and the pup again headed to the water line alone, but then returned to mom.

Marilyn did not see much of PO12 because the pup was mostly behind RL12 Aukai. Pup and Mom seem fine.

An Unknown Unknown briefly showed up on the waterline near RL12 and PO12. Aukai vocalized. Marily believed the same U/U showed up on the back Lanikai side of LOB and moved its way toward the S/M, Kala and her pup. The U/U looks to be adult to sub-adult size with a new coat. Marilyn thought it might be RK37 Hali'a, but she never saw its ventral, left side or rear flippers.

Marilyn thinks she saw the two weaners hauling out from the SRI channel. Later she got some belly shots and believes both RU38 and RU24 were there. In some of the photos RU38 looked bigger than

RU24, but when they were measured their girth was almost identical.

Team R&B were out and about and coming up empty. They finally spotted two seals across at the rest camp area. Then they got a call from a friend letting them know she was with the two seals.

They headed over and found R3CX Nalu with RH92 Nalani. They were resting together, where a lifeguard had put up two signs with a rope.

Some leaves blew onto RH92 and she was not happy. She reacted by barking at poor R3CX Nalu. After over reacting they both settled back down.

Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 1:00 to 3:00 pm and there were eight seals seen during that time.

Six of the seals were on various parts of LPB.

In the back Lanikai side of LPB up next to the cliff was one of the weaners: weaners size, shape and coloration. Marilyn never got a good view of the ventral so she couldn't determine which weaner, also she only saw one weaner today. 

RH76 Kala and PO11 started out on the Lanikai side of LPB and then moved back. Then PO11 headed toward the water with Kala following. They swam for a while and then hauled out and passed the Adult Female in the middle of the beach. Then PO11 nursed and went into snooze mode.

In the middle of LPB were two seals close together, an Adult Male and an Adult Female. The A/M was adult size, older coat, tannish-green male belly, not sure about tags. The AF was adult size, light yellow female belly, unsure about tags. The A/F and A/M looked up when Kala and PO11 were hauling out.

On the 1BS side of LPB was an Unknown Unknown U/U. Marilyn only got a rear view of this seal and in was on the downslope of a berm. It might be RK37 because she thought she saw a left side nb, but just isn't sure.

Between 1BS and 2BS were RL12 Aukai and PO12. The pup seemed to struggle with the steep slope of this part of the beach. The pup wandered a fair distance from mom, but then returned. At one point the pup kept playing with Aukai's LFF, which seem to irritate her.

Team R&B had another good seal day.  While out and about they saw

the research boat out on the water again and figured out they were tagging dolphins.  They had received an article from a friend that talked about the project of tagging the dolphins, that allow data to be collected for about two weeks.

Then they spotted two seals at rest camp side, they were hauling up. They went to check it out and found RH92 Nalani and R3CX Nalu resting in a zone that was set up by the lifeguards. 

They got a text from a friend of a seal hauled out at plains.  Of course they headed over and found the lovely Miss Lei Ola RH48. She is

looking so green but healthy. She was alone resting in a zone set up by the lifeguards.  

Their next find was at yoks where they spotted two seals on shore. The tide was coming in and hitting them while they were resting. They ID'd BG R303 and RH32 Kaale. 

It took them a while to confirm Kaale's ID, no tags, big boy and a light nb bleach on his right side by his fore flipper.  He is a big boy, and was very attentive to BG, who herself is gaining weight and getting

bigger.  There were 8 flags set up with only one sign that created a zone for them. Thanks to the lifeguards.

Lastly their final stop was at the cliffs. They found sweet RP30 Puka alone. He was resting in a small hole on the rocks. His tags were visible, thankfully.

Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island today from 12:20 to 1:50 pm and there were six seals seen during that time. (compared to the last few days it was slow)

Up against the cliff at the back of LPB rock flats were two seals. Marilyn thinks they were the two weaners, RU24 and RU38. She could not tell which weaner was which. They both had lighter ventrals and two red tags. At 1:16 pm, Marilyn realized that one of them had left.

On the Lanikai side of LPB was RK76 Kala and her pup PO11. There was no real activity to report.

On the 2BS of Middle Cliff was RL12 Aukai and PO12. The pup did move around mom some, but not much else was happening.

Team R&B had a good seal day. Their first stop at pokai they found a seal at the zen. It was R617, he was alone and resting.

Next near the rest camp area they saw a boat that they thought might be some type of a research boat. It appeared they were using a pole maybe to tag something or collect something. 

They spotted two seals from afar, and the lifeguards had made a zone for them. They got to the site after a bit, but the seals had left. They kept looking out at the water and spotted the two seals. They may have left with all the people cheering on the surfers riding the waves.

They were able to ID the female due to her big scar on her face, it was RH92 Nalani, who recently weaned her pup. The male was ID'd as Nalu R3CX.  They watched them for a long time, and saw that RH92 got a hold of an eel to feast on. She went toward the the canal. Then Team R&B lost sight of them.

Next stop at yoks where they found Miss BG R303 resting alone. There were six flags and one sign setting up a zone for her.  Today they noticed her applied bleach N26 on her lower body. 

There were lots of people out on the beaches and needless to say its upsetting when people ignore the signs and are too lazy to go around the seal.

As they were driving home they spotted a seal resting way out on shore at Waikomos. They went to check it out. There was an adult male, green on its coat, cc scar under belly and no tags. At first they thought it was RN14 Kalani. But after studying their photos they believe the male to be R416. His CC scar is a bit different than RN14.
