Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 12:40 to 2:30 pm and there were seven seals seen during that time.

Initially there were three seals on LPB:

At the back of LPB was weaner RU38: weaner size, shape and coloration, did not see  her tags and her ID was confirmed once Marilyn ID'd RU24.

In the middle of LPB was RL12 Aukai and PO!2. Aukai was ID'd on the red tag on her RRF. The pup nursed at one point during Marilyn's viewing.

At 1:08 pm, RH76 Kala and PO11 showed up near the LPB surge channel and Marilyn thought they were going to haul out, but Kala and pup headed back into the water. At 1:53 pm Kala and PO11 hauled out on the rock flats and then hauled out at the back of LPB. When RH76 and pup hauled out, weaner RU38 headed off the beach and onto the rock flats. PO11 nursed after the pup and RH76 got settled on the back of LPB.

About 1/3 of the way between 1BS and 2BS was a seal labeled as a Juvenile Female: think long juvenile size (maybe small sub-adult) at least one tag on the LRF, tannish yellow female belly.

Weaner RU24 was about 60 feet Lanikai of the 2BS. He was ID'd by his weaner size, shape and coloration, two red tags and light male belly. He was about 20 feet from where he was yesterday.

When Marilyn was returning home she spotted a monk seal on the beach that was in a SRA. She stopped to check it out. It was an adult male with no apparent tags, a nb on his right forehead and a notch out of his RRF. After looking through her notes, she believes this is RN02, a Kauai born male, whom she had only seen once at Ka'ena Point. Apparently he was on the beach yesterday.

Team R&B were out and about, not having much luck finding any seals. Finally they spotted a seal resting in a pond. They saw the seal from afar, so they made their way over. It was a while before the seal moved and they saw the tag. It was RL20 Kalua. Team R&B were happy there were no fishers out today.

They got a text of two seals at plains, so they headed over. They had checked all the spots on the west side and didn't find any seals.  They got to plains and the two seals were snoozing by the showers, all

roped off.  It was Lei Ola RH48 and Kaale RH32.  (sweet couple)  They moved up, within 10 feet of the signs and people. Team R&B tried to move a few of the signs back. One man asked the people to move back. Both seals were more alert as they heard the people that were close by.  Team R&B stayed until 3 and then headed home.

December 17, 2019 Monk Seal Dailies

Team Billand arrived at the outfall just before 7:30 this morning and spotted a beautiful seal, adult, nice coat, greenish with a ding on mid shoulders and another one on it's head. The tags shot confirmed RL12 Aukai. 
There were multiple animals foraging in the outfall and out to sea. It made getting a decent shot with all the movements difficult. 

Team Billand ID'd Ka'ale RH32 who was following Aukai around. They were together in the outfall and then suddenly they were way out of the Jetty. then right back in again. Good news no one stole any fish to the best of Team Billand's knowledge.

A third critter was in and out of the outfall.  This critter has a nice voat, brilliant white face, and that bright white natural cue ball bleach was visible. They ID'd Kolohe RW22 and then he disappeared after a while.
There were two critters Team Billand was not able to ID. They were at the outfall until 10 am watching over all the action.

Just before noontime Team Billand spotted Ka'ale hauling out on the rocks. He almost looked like a harp seal with this wet dry look.
They rechecked on him once again later and he was still alone on the rocks.

Just before 4 pm they saw a male snoozing in between the rocks. They got a good look at the tag and were shocked to see R3CU. He was alone and very dry indicating he had been there for a while.
