10/02/2021 Saturday (part 2) Lesley's Ka'ena Update

 Diane and I had a great 8 seals, dolphins and more day

Our morning started with an overnighted RG28 Lefty - his molt has started. Hopefully, there won't be too much going on, on the beaches to disturb him.

R407 Kawika overnighted and spent the day not far from KG54 Huaka'i.

RL98 Lina also overnighted at her favorite place and spent the day there

RO40 Ka'ena was "Lounging" on a reef bed in a tide pool

RL74 Kami was resting on a small sandy beach

R330 Squinty was hauling into a pool. Shortly after RW02 PVKauai showed up.

An entertaining dynamic started. One would chase the other away and swim away as if nothing happened then the other would surf back with swell waves, more vocalizing. Then one would leave and the other stay. We watched them for a longtime while doing outreach with visitors. PVKauai finally swam away, and we didn't see Squinty again.
