They started their day at pokai where they found Miss Kala RH76. She was there alone resting peacefully in the morning.

But later in the afternoon, a man had to go up close and personal to talk with her. hmmm. Team R&B kept asking the man not to get close to stay 50 feet away. He didn't listen just went closer and Miss Kala reacted. Team R&B were happy she scared him enough that he moved away. He continued to gesture and talk with her. 

They could see from afar there was a seal on shore at electric beach. They couldn't make an ID other

than it was a male. They couldn't stay as they were on their way to check on three seals. The seal was  reported as an Unknown Male.

Team R&B got several texts of three seals on shore at plains. When they arrived the seals were all resting in a big zone that set up by the lifeguards. To the left was RJ06 Aka, in the middle was R3CX Nalu, and to the right was RL12 Aukai. Needless to say Team R&B was thrilled to see the trio.

As a side note, they had reported a RJ01 the other day. It has been confirmed that seal is RJ06 and his J07 tag is worn out and looks like a one. 

Team R&B took the time and explained to the lifeguards how special Aka is to Marilyn who looks out for the seal on the east side. That DB named Aka after Kimo Lyman's nephew a water man. The lifeguards appreciated and thought it was cool.

The headed back and rechecked Kahe and found RK72 Kekoa Alii with RL20 Kalua. The two of them were on the rocks snoozing.  They did check electric beach, but there were no seals.

News from posse pal Liz on Molokai.  She reported seeing RJ06 Aka on Monday. Liz knows RJ06 is an Oahu boy so she forwarded a couple of photos.  He was born in 2017 on Rabbit Island, and one of the last seals named by our beloved DB.

Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 12:05 to 1:15 and there were three seals seen during that time.

Between 1BS and 2BS was R606: sub-adult size, light male belly. no tags and NB on tip of RRF.

Between 3BS and SRI were two seals:

Unknown Adult - adult size, older coat, two red tags, yellowish brown belly, Marilyn thinks it was a female but not sure enough to call it.

Sub-Adult Female: sub-adult size, light female belly and two red tags. About 1 pm the SF galumphed over near the UA but there was no interaction.

Team R&B did their usual checks coming up empty despite the blustery, dark day. So they decided to head west and they happen to see two seals hauling up on shore from afar.

By they time they arrived and got out to the area on the rocks was RQ64. She was so alert and aware they were there. So they hid and she finally settled.

Next to her was R604 a big female. CC scar on her right side, two scars on upper side, they did not see tags.

It was hard to view them in that they were directly down in the sand. Team R&B only stayed to make the IDs and then left.

Lastly they decided to recheck the bay and to their delight they found RL70 Leina resting  Then to her right on the other side was RH32 Kaale.

Todays dailies are brought to you by Marilyn and Team R&B💕  It was a busy day!

Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 1:00 to 2:35 and there was only one seal during that time.

About 50 feet Makapuu side of the 1BS among the water front rocks was an Unknown Juvenile: juvenile size, older coat with some green on ventral side and two tags.

Marilyn had stopped off a couple of spots on her way to the grocery store. There was a seal on the

shoreline who she believes was Aka RJ06. The area was cordoned off providing a good sized SRA with a volunteer on site. The seal was an adult male, older coat with medium brown belly and some green with tags.

Team R&B got a text early morning of a seal at plains. When they got there they found RH58 Rocky by tower one. The early surfers were surprised especially since she was under the tower. Rocky departed by 9 am on her own.

Then much to their surprise to the right was RH92 Nalani. She was called in and had just arrived this morning.

Heading over to Kahe they found RH32 KAale on the rocks. He was alone, at least in the beginning.  Kaale was soon joined by RL20 Kalua. They noticed a line coming from the right corner of his mouth and two hooks in his chest. Line was long, coming from his mouth and around his hind flippers down to the rocks.

While watching him another seal came in really slow. They couldn't

make an ID, other than it was an adult large in size. They didn't see any tags and attempted to land three times. The Unknown Adult has a lot of scratches on its body, a small scar on its head.

At one point Kaale was back in the water and got into a fight with the Unknown Adult.

On their second check later in the day they found a seal resting at the bay. It was alone on the rocks, clean coat with tags. They believe this is Lei Ola RH48
