Starting their day on the west side they found the lovely Miss Kala RH76. She was not alone today. With her was RM31 Kai.
They were in the area for over an hour trying to ID two seals foraging from afar. One was an adult with lots of green and the other was also an adult but with a clean coat. Neither landed so they were reported as Unknowns.
A man with two kids came by and asked if they saw the seal? Hepointed to a spot. Team R&B were surprised since they were there for over an hour and didn't see him. They went to make the ID a male with lots of green and finally the cc scar on flipper, no tags determined it was R416 Makalii.
While they were busy trying to make IDs they saw another seal from afar, then noticed the seal was gone. Thirty minutes later they saw the seal was on shore again so they went to check. It's an older seal recently molted.... aha! it's R3CX Nalu. Nalu was resting peacefully.
Much to their surprise while on the west side they found RK72 Kekoa Alii. He was alone resting.
They made one last stop at nimitz, it was getting late and traffic was building. Up on shore far away from people was R407 Kawika. They were surprised to see him in a new spot. He looked calm and relaxed for a change.
