7-9-2012 DB's Dailies:

At 0626 I found M&M (R020)&Pup (D#27), once again at Rocky Right Beach, on Rabbit Island. They began the day up at the vegetation line, but moved down to the water line, mid morning. I could only see them from the Makapuu Overview.

Also at 0626 I found what would prove to be Kolohe (RW22), initially only partially visible up in the Morning Glory, 40 ft left of 1BS. When I got back to Makai Pier at 1112 he had moved down to the beach front incline, where he remained the rest of the day.

At 0657 Buster (RV08) made a brief appearance at Spitting Cave. He only did one up, and then disappeared further into the the bay.

Kimo called at 0738 to report that he'd found Buster in a tide pool at Irma's Grotto, Kokee Flats, but Buster returned to the water at 0739, heading out toward Spitting Cave.

I remained at SC for an hour waiting for Buster, but I had a sneaky feeling I knew where he was. At 0840 I found him snoozin' behind the the first house inside of China Walls, where he was yesterday. Today he was higher up and completely visible.

At 0728 Gayle called with the report of Kaiwi (RK96) at Lanai Lookout.

Tracy went to Kauai to tag Rocky's girl. She is now officially RL17. Cute da' kid !!!

Team Billand was kinda'/sorta' skunked today, but did have a swimmer off shore of Iroquois Pt, that never hauled out ?????????????

In the Yesterday's News" Department, posse member Jon Mossman found Ua Malie (RT10) at High Rock, Kahuku yesterday.

My Yahoo calendar , once again let me down, as it has sooooooo often with the "new & improved" Yahoo.

 Ka'ena turned 6 years old out at the end of the world, on 7-6-12. Happy Birthday !!!!!

Hanauma Bay posse member Ann called at 0605 to report an animal on the beach, fronting "the keyhole" at HB. When I arrived at 0617 I found and cordoned off Irma (R010). Zeeny called at 1506 to advise that Irma had departed.

When I got to Kaiwi Kove and 0700, I found Kaiwi (RK96) tucked in to her Naupaka bush. The Elves were on it all day. Kaiwi departed at 1830.

Nani (RK60) was the only non-winged resident of Rabbit Island today. She hauled out to 1BS at 1047 and has remained all day.

Team Billand called at 0847 to report Kermit (R012) fronting #1708 at White Plains.

They checked in again at 1239 with the report of Pohaku (RO28) and Kerby (RW08) at Maili Point. Sightings of Kerby at any place other than Ka'ena Point, are extremely rare.

Dera called at 0742 with the report of an animal across from the Fire Station in Hauula. I have received no further word, as of this writing.

Dera called again at 0945 with word of an animal at Waialee Beach Park on the North Shore, said to have a "5 inch scar on the right flank". Kelly Girl was there twice, but the animal would not cooperate in giving her a solid ID. She did see red tags as the animal departed and Kelly Girl's photos confirm the RI37 ID. This is the first confirmed sighting since Mokuleia on 3-3-12.

Posse member Kelly Evans called at 1530 with the report of Ua Malie (RT10) at High Rock, Kahuku. Tanx Eh Kelly !!

3-11-12 DB Dailies

Posse member Gayle called at 0702 to advise that Kaiwi (RK96) was just hauling out at Kaiwi Kove, Sandy Beach, and was galumphing to her Naupaka bush. When I got there we set up a perimeter, and organized the auntie watch. She has remained all day. Kaiwi departed , of her own volition at 1827.

At 0707 I found Sadie (RB12) up behind the dunes , 40 ft left of 1BS on Rabbit Island. She would finally move down at 1203, allowing the ID.

At 0854 I found RIP (RR70) fronting 3BS on RI. He would also remain all day.

On a pan at 0921 I became aware of Nani (RK60) in the high grass, behind Seal Rock Inlet on RI. She had no doubt been there all along, and I'd just missed her in the crappy lighting. She too remained all day.

At 0734 Team Billand reported Kermit (R012) near the showers at White Plains.

Dera called at 0908 with the report of R5AY in Laie. Posse member Kelly Girl confirmed the ID, and also advised that R5AY had been run off by dogs.

At 0924 Team Billand found Irma (R010) at Parrish Dr., Ewa Beach.

At 1015 the reported M&M (R020) near Access 186D, Ewa Beach.

At 1149 the Billand reported Pohaku (R028) in Nanakuli.

At 1222 Dana called to advise that Kelly Girl had found Ua' Malie (RT10) at High Rock, Kahuku.

Team Billand's next find was 2AW at Tracks, and at a separated location the found T15M at Tracks at 1254.

At 1327 Dana called with the report of Right Spot, at Right Spot's spot, Turtle Bay.
