05/03/2021 (part 2 ) Monday Lesley's Ka'ena Update

There was a last-minute change in my schedule this week because of the LAAL chicks banding. It was a BEAUTIFUL and successful day.

We banded 45 chicks !!! Came home covered in fish oil but still have a smile on my face even after 2 showers using Dr Bronners. 

On the way in, during a lunch break and heading out I checked on some seals.

RG28 Lefty started the day here in front and in the afternoon, I found him on another beach

RN58 Luana was sleeping on a reef and was no longer there on the afternoon check

RL74 Kami and RO40 Ka'ena were sharing a tide pool

RH32 Ka'ale was back visiting this side, he spent the day sleeping on a reef

RJ40 (F - from Molokai) also showed up again today and was sleeping side-by-side with R3CX Nalu
