05/17/2021 Monday ( part 2) Yesterday's News Kaiwi and P02

 

Melody spent her Sunday visiting with Kaiwi RK96 and P02. She arrived in the morning and they had already been out for a swim and were snuggled next to the jetty. about 30 minutes later they began to stir, Mom tried to get the pup up but he kept taking his flipper and smacking her on the back. Melody said it was like hitting the snooze button. After a bit Kaiwi pretty much demanded he follow her out and he followed. 

They floated out and around the boats that are moored in front of OCC. P02 and Mom had a good time playing with the buoys on different canoes. After making their rounds one guy got really close to both mom and pup. Kaiwi let out a bark and they headed over to the Eagles Club where they stayed for a bit.

They came back in from of OCC and got close to the wall where the pup nursed. When he was done

they headed out again throught the canoes for a bit of playing. This time they headed south to who knows where. All in all they were out in the water for quite some time. Finally they came back in the early afternoon and hauled out on the beach by OCC. They spent time playing in the shallows and resting.  While mom napped P02 found a toy truck to amuse himself with. They were still there when Melody left at 4:30.
