Team R&B started their day by finding a seal swimming past the outfall heading towards tracks. Seal was almost on shore but an unleashed dog went into the water and the seal took off. It was reported as an UU.
Next they spotted a seal on the rocks and then slowly entered the shallow pond rolling about. It was RH32 Kaale, but he didn't stay long. He left the area and they watched him disappear in open water.
They also found RL20 Kalua who was foraging in the bay area by the jetty and fishermen. He was
Team R&B headed further west and once again they found the Handsome couple on the rocks snoozing. Lei Ola RH48 and Kekoa Alii RK72 still keeping each other company peacefully. Upon a recheck they were still together.
The big surprise was finding their boy Benny RE74 sleeping in peace all alone on the rocks. He was at Ka'ena Point yesterday but now he's back. On their second visit he was still there later in the day. He looks fine, nothing of concern to report.
Their last sighting they spotted a seal sleeping on its side. They had a feeling who it might be but it took an hour for the seal to move and they finally could confirm RN14 Kalani. These critters aren't always cooperative so patience and persistence goes a long way.
