Today's dailies are brought to you by Lesley, Melody and Team R&B💕. Lesley's Ka'ena update is part two of the dailies.
Team R&b found RL20 Kalua on the rocks this morning. They informed NOAA and volunteer Melina arrived. They watched over the little green critter. On their 2nd check of the area RL20 was gone from that spot, however they found him upland snoozing away.
At another west side location Team R&B found Miss Kala RH76 snoozing on seal inlet area and she was alone. When they went back later in the day she was still there but now there was another seal. There was RL70 Leina on lower rocks, snoozing and looking nice and chubby. She flipped over and made visible her tags. Overall she is looking very healthy.
Team R&B made the long drive out to yok and back. On their way they found another seal on the rocks
. It was the lovely, fat Lei Ola RH48 enjoying her time alone on the rocks. She certainly keeps them on their toes by changing her locations, running away from the boys. She succeeded today and enjoyed the peace and quiet.Melody once again went to visit with Kaiwi RK96 and P02. She arrive mid afternoon and stayed until sunset. Although it was a weekday there were still alot of people, many visitors who were interested in learning about Mom and pup as well as the endangered Hawaiian monk seals. P02 nursed and took naps and Mom mostly napped. They spent the most of the day at the waters edge until just before sunset when they hauled up the sand to find their resting spot for the evening.
