06/29/2020 (part 2) Lesley's Ka'ena Update

Another 2 in 1 report

Yesterday I sneaked down to the beach in the morning and late afternoon. RN58 Luana overnighted in the company of RG28 Lefty. When I last saw them they were on the waterline then Luana turned around and made her way all the way to the Naupaka with Lefty right behind her. She didn't seem pleased to have him tagging her but he voiced back and stood ground. They settled down after a nice passing shower.

PO4 Kai D67 was in is adopted tide pool and in the evening he had hauled out and was sleeping quietly on a little patch of sand.

Today between a couple of showers I went down and found 3 seals hauled out. RN58 Luana with RG28 Lefty near her and a little further RW02 PVKauai is back visiting us after his West side staycation.

Today is day 8 (9 nights) of Luana hanging around here - she could be in a pre molting behavior, but peace and quiet is not what her suiters are giving her.

PO4 Kai D68 was sleeping on his little patch of sand.   More tomorrow
