06/25/2020 Thursday Act-With-Care (93) Monk Seal Dailies

Today's dailies are brought to you by Team Billand and our old posse pal Vicki!

I was so happy to get an email from Vicki since it's been a while. In the yesterday news department Vicki came across the beautiful little K80 aka Kaitie. So nice to get some news about her and she is looking healthy and peaceful.  It's also really good to hear from Vicki, we missed you.

Team Billand was out and about and first spotted a seal resting alone. They ID'd RH76 Kala on lower rocks. She looks good and was cooperative showing her tag.

To the right they saw another seal snoozing on water front rock. They were able to ID R3CX Nalu.
While watching over Nalu they missed the arrival of RL20 Kalua. He made is way up and was next to Kala RH76. She was gracious and let the kid get close without any grumbles.

When they went back in the afternoon to recheck all seals were in the same spot. But now another seal galumphed onto waterfront rocks. Here comes RF28 (Pohaku's son). He was behind the rocks well hidden. Later turned and they were able to see his face and bleach on the side of his body.
On their last check all four seals were still there snoozing.

During their morning checks they spotted Aukai foraging doing 6 minute dives. She spent a couple of hours in the area in a feeding. She could be fattening up getting ready for her molt.
