October 17, 2026 Saturday's Dailies

Todays dailies are brought to you by Marilyn and Team R&B💕

Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 12:50 to 2:30 pm and there were eight seal seen during that time.
Furthest Lanikai on LPB was RK24 Bruno: adult size, old coat dorsal, about 40% molted ventral, male belly and two red tags.
Initially next towards the 1BS was R7AF who then moved much further towards the 1BS to join Sub-adult Female 1. R7AF galumphed pas an Adult Male who was mid beach. The AM was adult size, old
coat, male belly and two red tags. Marilyn suspects the AM will start molting soon.
R7AF: adult size, mostly old coat, 10-15% molt on mid chest, N61 applied bleach, and two red tags.
Sub-adult Female 1: smaller sub-adult size, newer coat, female belly not sure about tags.
Directly down from the 1BS was a recent weaner female who might be RV76: larger weaner size, light female belly and two red tags.
Between the 3BS and SRI among the waterfront rocks was a Weaner Unknown: weaner size, probably female, and at least two tags.
A short distance closer to SRI was a Juvenile Female: larger juvenile size, very green, female belly and two red tags.
Out at RRB was Sub-adult Female 2: large sub-adult to adult size, female belly, not sure about tags, and a line scar behind the right eye.
Between the 1BS and 2BS were several sets of tracks up the slope, which Marilyn suspects are turtle tracks.

Out on the west side their first find was Miss Kala RH76. She was back in her zen area resting alone.
While out in the area they watched from afar the dolphins flying out of the water. It almost seemed like they were running for something, or maybe just having fun.
Then they spotted an adult seal passing by, but it didn't land while they were out there. It went in a westerly direction, they never saw it again. They think this might be Lei Ola RH48.

At another west side location they found RP28 Wakea resting on shore. There were four people trying to get him to move for a photo op. Team R&B kept asking them to move away and let the seal be, but they were having a good time and didn't listen.  Wakea galumphed to the rocks, Team R&B called it into the hotline and then left.

Another stop on the west side they saw a green seal resting in the rocks. There was a lot of debris in the area. They tried taking photos from afar and got lucky to get a shot of its tags. The seal is RU40.
They did a recheck later in the day and he was still there alone and resting.

At Kahe they found the mystery green seal hauled out. They weren't able to make an ID. He's a big male, no tags seen, one scar on left side of his head. They thought maybe RN14, but just can't be sure. They been seeing him so much in the water and was hoping to get an ID today.
