Last month I was honored to attend a ceremonial signing of this very special fund. If ever there was a way to help the Hawaiian monk seals, THIS IS IT! These funds will fund the needs and actual researchers, we need this.
I am going to share a portion of the email I received today from Jana Light, Associate Director of Development at University of Hawaii Foundation. I think she sums up how special the day was for us and how you can contribute! Thank you!
A big thank you to all who joined us February 8 at the Makai Pier to celebrate Marilyn’s gift and DB’s life. I was incredibly moved by the stories people shared and only wish I had been able to meet DB in person. Thank you for helping us at SOEST and UHF honor Marilyn’s generosity, and a HUGE thanks to Tammy for those beautiful cookies – they were such a special part of the day!

This wonderful GIFT of DB and Marylin is the BEST WAY TO HELP THE SEALS. This is a funding that is 100% FOR THE SEALS. IT is an honor to pass this information along to all who care about our beloved MONK SEALS, thanks DONNA DA BLOG LADY for posting this.
DB DUNLAP was ALL ABOUT SAVING THESE HAWAIIAN MONK SEALS, it was never to exploit them. He so loved each and every animal he came in contact with...studied each detail of Sadie, Buster, RIP, Benny and brought his thoughts in his daily reports, so each of US could read how special these ENDANGERED SEALS ARE. And to do SOMETHING FOR THEM!!!
And Marylins dedication with him, made a valuable team for Science!! Together Marylin and DB dunlap are our heroes all the way.
Oh you can bet we will tell all bout this Hawaiian Monk Seal Research FUND, because its about the seals and not US.
Ok guys, lets get our wallets out...lets all contribute to this GIFT from DB AND MARYLIN NOW. Keep DB's work going...there wasnt a day that DB wasnt out there in all kinds of weather to keep an eye out on his beloved seals.
