Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 12:07 to 2:21 pm and there were five seals seen during that time.
Initially on the Lanikai side of LPB was a Juvenile Female: larger juvenile size, green coat, female belly and two red tags. She later moved further back and then returned to her original location.
On the berm of LPB was RK24 Bruno: adult size, old coat, N32 applied bleach on right side and male belly.
At some point Weaner Unknown 1: appeared behind RK24: weaner size, light yellow ventral, no ingo on tags or sex.
On the 1BS side of LPB nearer the water was a Sub-adult Female: sub-adult size, new coat, female belly and no info on tags.
Just hauling out of the SRI channel when Marilyn arrived was Weaner Unknown 2: large weaner size, light belly, no info on tags. This is probably RV76 based on its size, but Marilyn couldn't confirm a female belly.
Team R&B first find on the west side was RH76 Miss Kala. She was alone today resting in her zen pond.
Then they saw something in the distance, looked weird but as it got closer it was a molting seal. They ID'd R3CX Nalu foraging and they could see his molting fur washing off into the water. Then he was gone.
They decided to go check where he's been hanging out of the past week. Ta Da! there he was like he had been there all along. But Team R&B knew better.
Its been a while but they did get to see some dolphins at play.
By the outfall they noticed a green seal foraging. They ID'd RM31 Kai out there again. Suddenly there was a second seal with a clean coat, one tag. An adult, who they believe is Aukai RL12.
Lastly they went to nimitz and found R407 Kawika alone. He was resting down low to the water pushing his snout in the sand, then he got hit by a big wave. Surprised him and he went up higher after that. Today he seemed bothered, like he was alert to something, kept looking around.
