Team Billand up and out at 6 am checking out Paradise Cove. They found RE74 Benny all the up near the Rip Current Sign. They put up a zone, lots of visitors came by and Team Billand spent time educating them about monk seals and da Benny. Hotline was called and a volunteer arrived at 7:45 am. They filled her in on the Benny's ID and details, and left to check on other sites.
Their next stop was Nanakuli where they found a seal on shore, tags showing RW02 PvKauai. They called the hotline, and to the best of their knowledge no one arrived. They stopped back to beach RW02 had a man and girl visiting a little too close, but they did move once they saw people watching them. Later in the afternoon they stopped by again, he was still on shore alone but there were lots of dog footprints around him. (shame)
Third stop for Team Billand was a Leeward Beach where they found Kalani RN14, and Kekoa RK72 already up on high rocks snoozing together. On another visit both seals remained but now there were three RIP RR70 had joined them. Rip's beautiful N1 bleach showing so nicely. Kalani was next to him snoozing and Kekoa was hidden way in the rocks.
Last location for Team Billand was Westside Beach they found RH48 Lei Ola. She was alone on the rocks resting on her side where the hook wasn't visible. She later turned over and there was the hook, still there. She is acting fine, no struggles, no signs of stress or discomfort.

There was a seal on Back Beach that left just before I arrived. Visitor showed me photos, ot seem that R353 (F) may have overnoghted.
