November 10, 2024 Sunday's Dailies

Todays dailies are brought to you by Marilyn and Team R&B💕

Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 12:20 to 2:20 pm and there were six seals seen during that time.
On the 1BS side of LPB were two seals:
Adult Male: adult size, about 35% molted, old dark coat, medium gray male belly and at least one red tag.
Unknown Adult: adult size, newer coat, not sure about sex and at least one red tag.
Midway between 1BS and 2BS was R416 Makali'i: sub-adult size, light male belly with some distinctive scars and no tags..
Down from the 3BS was Sub-adult Male: smaller sub-adult size, light male belly and two red tags. This might be R7AF.
At 2:04 pm, Marilyn spotted what she believes to be weaner RT19 had joined the S/M: weaner size and shape, two red tags, never saw the belly but she's betting on RT19.
Out near SRI was RK24 Bruno: adult size, newer coat, medium gray male belly, two red tags and scar on lower lip.

Marilyn got a text that RT62 was hauled out, so on her way home she stopped to check. When she arrived a volunteer was on site. RT62 is small weaner size, light female belly and her two red tags T62/T63. She is small, but appears fine. She was covered in sand making it difficult to see her N22 applied bleach.

Team R&B were out and about and the only stop where they saw any seals was at rest-camp. Once again there were multiple seals foraging. The shark sign was up again but they didn't see any while they were watching.
They watched and the first to be ID'd was Nalu R3CX.  Later in the day he hauled out.
Since the seals were further out today it made it difficult to see them. But Team R&B are very patient. The next ID was RL20 Kalua, seeing his white snout makes him stand out.
They were able to ID RH48 Lei Ola by the two dark lines on her left side. She stayed further out off to the right.
Then there was an Unknown Adult they spotted by a jet-ski. Team R&B could not determine which seal this was.

Lastly they went to check out yoks but the gates were closed. So they stood at the cliffs trying to see if any seals were onshore. Nothing was seen from afar.  They did note the cars were parked all down the sides of the road.
