Before 7 am Team Billand spotted their only seal at a west side beach on lower rocks. RG28 was alone and resting.
On their next check before noon RG28 was in his water hole.
They also found Lei Ola RH48 in her spot but away from RG28. It took a long time to get a positive ID but finally got it. She took forever to move and come out of the water hole. She moved to get away from the rising tide and moved higher.
Team Billand did lots of searching today and at one point they were driving past Yokoham and spotted two seals.
It was just before 3 pm when they stopped to check out the critters on shore. One looked like it just hauled up and they were able to ID RIP RR70. The other seal was ID'd as the lovely RL42 Leia. A big wave came and splashed both seals, Leia moved up and RIP was quick to follow.
There was no sign of a volunteer and Team Billand tried to determine when they had arrived, but folks close by did not know.
They stood around watching the two when they noticed two ladies running straight over to the seals with their cell phones. Team Billand alerted them to keep a distance, they girls took their photos a and split. Team Billand left site at 3:30 and both seal remained on shore.
