Team Billand had a slow seal day today. At 7 am they found RG28 on their first visit to a westside location. He was still wet like he had just hauled out. All his cookie scars were visible and his one tag G2. They sat for awhile hoping another seal would show up. But no such luck.
On a return visit he was still there but had moved down to the small water hole.
At 9:15 am Team Billand was hanging out at another westside location, they spent a long time waiting for a seal to show up, they were getting tired and it was hot. They started to walk away and suddenly spotted a small seal hauling in. After watching closely they ID'd Lei Ola RH48. She came all the way up slowly not in any hurry. She is looking good and no real markers, certainly no new ones. Her tags were visible as well as her small scar on her face between her eyes.
Team Billand did the Ka'ena West trek but found no seals, lots of people and it was unbearably hot.
Posse pal Vicki made a spur of the moment visit to Luana RN58 and PO2. While she was there she got to see a swim session.
Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island for about 2 hours today, and I joined her for some of that time.
RB12 Sadie (presumably) and PO4 were once again on Left Point Beach and spent most their time in snooze mode. There may have been a few nursing sessions, but because of their position it was difficult to confirm.
Clear to the right of the island on Rocky Right Beach there was a seal on the water front rocks. We are calling this an Unknown Adult. We were unable to determine it's sex or even if it had tags. In Marilyn's early photos she thought there might have been a natural bleach mark on the LFF, but the later photos did not confirm that. The U/A did move somewhat to the left and relocated to a different waterfront rock.
