Tammy of Team T&D made her way to visit with R5AY Honey Girl and PO3. Today was the first time she got to visit with them and she observed 2 swim sessions, a nap and a feeding.
Team Billand headed out and at 9 am they arrived at White Plains were there was Miss Pohaku RO28. A zone was up by they time they arrived, so Team Billand spent their time educating folks.
She is looking quite large. Team Billand called the hotline and waited until after 10:30 before they left. Hopefully someone was able to get out there.
It was after 11 am when Team Billand came across Lei Ola RH48. She was on lower rocks alone. The waves were coming in fast and surrounding her at times. She just stayed unaffected by them. She looks to be in good health and there is nothing new with her to report. (this is a good thing)
Team Billand spent a good part of their day looking for the U/F with the mobbing scars. They did the Ka'ena West trek and just kept walking and when they spotted a seal it was submerged in a pond.
The sun was glaring so it took some time but finally the seal moved and turned and there was the UF ID'd by her huge mobbing scar. She is looking good and quite healthy, wish we knew more about her.
People were out an about, but no one bothered as they were heading over to hang out in the bigger pond.
A couple arrived with their dog and did let the dog off leash to swim. Team Billand explained to the owners and kept a close eye. The UF was aware of the dog when it barked but that is the extent of the interaction.
The only other critter for Team Billand came at 4 pm, when they leaving Ka'ena West. They came across Mr. Ka'ale RH32 sleeping on the rocks alone. He wasn't there earlier when they first arrived.
Ka'ale is looking very fat and quite green. Seems he is making this his new hangout which is good, hopefully he will stay out of trouble.
