9/27/2018 Monk Seal Dailies: (part 1) RO28, RH32, RW22, Cargo Net

Apologize for the late updates, but traveling and keeping up has been a bit more of a challenge. So I'll keep things short and sweet.

Dailies are brought to you by Team Billand and Lesley.
Team Billand found Pohaku RO28 at campbells in the morning. She was all the way inland, more than 100 ft. By the time they got over to her she moved down past the ropes. The workers were unaware she was there, as they thought she was a rock. She appears to be at least 75% into her molt.

In the early morning Team Billand found no seals at the outfall. When the went back they did find Kaale RH32 hauled out on his rock at a nearby beach.

Team Billand found Kolohe RW22 on a west side beach. It took them a few to properly ID him and they were surprised to see him. His signature cue ball bleach confirmed his ID. He's a healthy robust male.

Team Billand had reported a large Cargo Net out at Ka'ena West 40 mark a couple of days ago. Thanks to great team work DLNR, Lesley, and Team Dave and Tammy were hard at work. They hauled away a huge net as the storm was quickly approaching.  TRUE dedication and hard work!
