I went down early and found the overnighted boys R330 "Squinty" and RG40 "Holokai".
After checking the container and dealing with some camper and dog on the beach issues, I went back, to meet Tammy & Dave on Ka'ena side of Camp Erdman Pt. RN58 "Luana" had hauled out with R330 Squinty on that side. While talking to campers I saw a seal in the water, it was RG40 Holokai. He was swimming around and vocalizing. He made his way to the other side of the beach where the other seals were hauled out.
We headed in towards the point. RO40 "Ka'ena" was in BG's pool and was our only find in the NARS.
We hiked out towards the Waianae side and found RW02 "PVKauai" at the 30Mnts mark. we went a little further but the heat was so brutal we came back. We stopped for a well deserved break and to cool off in some tide pools. In the NARS "Ka'ena" had left and no other seal showed up.
Back out of the gate I stopped to check the seals. There were now 4 seals on the beach. RK40 "Napua" had joined the gang. RN58 "Luana" entered the water, let herself be tossed around by some waves then swam along the waterline in front of the 2 boys. They ignored her and she left.
One of those magic special days. Tks Team T&D for the company and always good laughs
