Melody sent word of Rocky's visit to the beach this evening. She hauled up right at sunset (while Melody was shooting the sunset).... hmmm I'm sensing a theme here. She came way up in the sand, over the crest and snuggled into the Naupaka. Seems she is getting comfortable for the night. Melody reported to the hotline.
Melody got word that Rocky was there last night too, someone she knows saw her on the beach in the morning, but by the Melody had made it over she only found big wallows.
Team Billand out and about early as usual but what isn't usual is no sign of Ka'ale at the all you can eat seafood buffet. (not like he's going to go hungry).
They headed to a west side beach and spotted two seals on the rocks. Light wasn't that great still kind of dark, but they managed to get a couple of picture. They did ID Kekoa Alii RK72, he was way inland resting on the rocks on his own. On the next visit they thought he was gone, until they went looking around and found him in a little pond all scrunched up and pooping. ( everybody poops). Last visit of the day he was gone and the tide was high covering everything.
They found RIP RR70 on the lower rocks snoozing, just fine. Again since it was still darkish getting a decent photo and getting his ID. But with persistence they finally spotted the markers to ID RIP. He is also looking a little green. He was still there on their second visit. On their last visit he was in a water hole, pretty much hidden and then he left with the high tide.
Kekoa
Good ole RIP
