November 4, 2024 Monday's Dailies

Todays dailies are brought to you by Marilyn and Team R&B๐Ÿ’•

Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island  from 1:31 to 2:52 pm and there were four seals seen during that time.
Again slightly Makapuu of 1BS was an Adult Male: adult size old coat, brown male belly and at least one tag on the RRF. Marilyn assumes this seal is about to start its molt based on its behavior.
Almost directly down from 3BS was an Unknown Sub-adult: sub-adult size, newer coat, unsure about tags or sex.
Near SRI were two seals:
Unknown Unknown: this seal is either super weaner RT90 or an unknown sub-adult. The seal never changed positions so there wasn't much to go on.
Initially near the water line, but later next to the UU, was RK24 Bruno: adult size, newer coat, male belly, two red tags and a scar on the right rear side.

When Team R&B arrived at pokai today they did not see the unknown male, who is R617 (they got confirmation). But they did find Kala
RH76 alone up on the rocks. She is looking good, healthy and plump. Kala stayed in her spot all day.
They didn't see R617 at all today, he probably went to fill his belly.  They will miss him.

Heading over to the rest camp area they did see a couple of seals out there. The water was choppy and made it more of a challenge to see and ID the seals.
The two they spotted they were able to ID, RL20 Kalua with his vocalizing and RH48 Lei Ola.
They waited a while and did spot another seal that was further out foraging. The seal had a clean coat, cute face, and they could not determine if it had tags or even its size. This seal was reported as an Unknown Unidentified.

Next they went back to recheck Pokai and now there were two seals on the rocks. RH76 Kala was still there in her spot. RM31 Kai arrived at some point. He looks good, nothing new to report on him, he was resting peacefully.

A quick stop at yoks paid off. They found RP28 alone resting on shore.  There were a few of his fans that stopped by, thankfully they were all good.

Lastly they saw that R3CX Nalu had hauled out at rest-camp. Thankfully the lifeguards put out the signs.
