Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 12:25 to 2:00 pm and there were three seals seen during that time.
On the 1BS side of LPB was an Adult Male: adult size, older dark coat, dark male belly, Marilyn did not see any tags. She believes the seal has a mid-dorsal pit scar.
Between 3BS and SRI was RK24 Bruno: adult size, newer coat, light to medium gray male belly, two red tags and scar on lower lip.
Near the SRI inlet was RT19: weaner size, older coat, light golden male belly, unsure about tags.
Team R&B had been out checking different areas and were coming up empty.
Finally at rest-camp they spotted R3CX Nalu who had hauled up on shore by the cabins. Thankfully the lifeguards put out signs right away.
They went over to yoks and once again found RG28 Lefty on shore. His hook was visible today along with the trailing line. He is molting, alert but very itchy, spending much of his time scratching. Thankfully nobody was bothering him and he was able to get some rest.
It was a slow seal day for Team R&B, but while out and about they spent some of their time watching the dolphins. At first they were so close in and then they all took off so fast to the outer ocean.
They got some photos of dolphins a lumpy fin, one had cc wound. Some had huge thin fins, not sure if they are spinners.
Along with watching the dolphins they watched the surfers.
