Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 12:57 to 2:02 pm and there was only one seal seen during that time.
Between the 3BS and SRI was a small seal Marilyn labeled as an Unknown Juvenile: weaner to juvenile size, newer coat, light belly covered in sand so no call on its sex, and unsure about tags.
Marilyn had been out earlier in the morning where she spotted a small seal hauled out. Once again it was RT62 Ka'iwa was hauled out. She was ID'd by her small weaner size, female belly N22 applied bleach and T62 tag. Marilyn notified the hotline. There was a beach clean up in progress but everyone was respectful of RT62.
Team R&B arrived at rest camp and once again there were multiple seals foraging. I know Team R&B take great joy in watching the seals in action. Todays foraging seals started with RH48 Lei Ola who is getting greener by the day. Kalua RL20 was also out there foraging.
Next they spotted R3CX Nalu. They commented on how good of a fisher he is. He manages to catch so many. He just cruised on the surface like he is resting, breathing, but he's listening for the fish. When his eyes open, he puts his head up and arches his body and dives. Next he surfaces with a fish in his mouth, chomping away.
Last stop was at the cliffs. There was RM31 Kai alone resting on the rocks. They had wondered why they didn't see him at rest camp, seems he needed to get some rest.
