Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 11:25 to 1:45 and there were two seals on island today.
About 70 feet Lanikai side of the 1BS was a subadult female who Marilyn believes is RK37 Hui'a: subadult side, mottled yellow female belly, two red tags and she thinks there was her signature nb on the lower left side. Marilyn doesn't think she is the same subadult female she has seen over the last three days.
Between 3BS and SRI was RF34 Pua: large adult size, gray female belly, at least one (and probably two) red tags, and a scar on her right rear side.
As a side note: RK37 is RB12 Sadies pup from 2018 and RF34 is Sadie's pup from 2014. Pua will turn 8 on April 3rd.
Team R&B spotted Kaale resting on shore alone at tracks. They called the hotline and put up some sticks to deter folks.
They saw two women arrive with a dog and its ball. Team R&B immediately ran up to them to please keep the dog away from the seal since it wasn't leashed. They said okay we're right here, and continued to toss the ball for the unleashed dog.
Then Team R&B heard Kaale barking and the dog running right up to him, and continued to keep after Kaale until he left the sight.
The women called their dog over and continued to play with their dog as if nothing had happened. UGH!!!!
Team R&B watched and saw Kaale heading for the outfall. When they arrived there was an added bonus a little seal was with him L7.
Both headed back onto Tracks, landed and fought/played and entered the water again. Kaale was after the little guy who fought back as best he could. Big butthead Kaale playing a little too rough with the kid.
Once they landed, Team R&B called the hotline again and sent in photos of the dog incident. Asked to please send someone since Team R&B had to leave at noon.
At another west side location they found Miss Kala RH76 alone.
The last seal they saw today was Kekoa Alii RK72 at another site.
