03/21/2022 Monday's Dailies

Todays dailies are brought to you by Team R&B💕.  Marilyn did send an email that she checked Rabbit Island late this afternoon and there were no seals on island when she checked.

Team R&B started their day at a west side location where they spotted a big male on the rocks. It was R3CU snoozing, although he looked like he had arrived recently. He is looking robust and healthy.

From there they went to outfall to find a few seals foraging along with
a couple of boats with nets. They called the hotline right away.  They were able to ID two of the three seals; Nalu R3CX, Kaale RH32 and an unidentified unknown U/U.

When they arrived at another nearby location they were very happy to see that Nalu had left the outfall and now hauled out on the rocks. Along with R3CX was RL08, the two resting away from danger.

Team R&B went to check secrets and they saw one seal on shore about mid beach. It was Lefty RG28 alone and there were signs and ropes already in place.  Team R&B hadn't been to the site since last Friday so they weren't sure who had put up the signs. There was a volunteer on site, which is always good to see.

They went to recheck the area where Nalu and RL08 had been. They did see RL08 on the rocks alone, and Nalu was gone.  Then hidden really well was RN14 Kalani. They could see his applied bleach which was so helpful.

Last stop they spotted a little seal trying to haul up on the rocks with
the waves hitting him at times. He continued to move up and they thought it was Pe'ekai.  But upon closer examination they could see it was P30!!  They were so happy to see him again, and he is looking good and healthy. Thank goodness for that applied bleach!
