03/10/2022 Thursday's Dailies

Todays dailies are brought to you by Team T&D and Team R&B💕

Team T&D hiked out to the point with Lesley. Their first find was RL98 Lina. Her cc bite has healed up nicely.
Next find was KG54 Huaka'i in the same spot they saw her last week. Perhaps her favorite spot?
Then there was RN58 Luana, she is looking nice and quite plump.
Kami RL74 was an easy find with her silver coloring on the lava rocks. So much for being camouflaged.
Their next find were two seals in the same location. Squinty R330 was half in the water and Kiane R604 was on the flats in a small tidepool.  They were both staying cool in the water since it was hot out there today. R604 is a pretty seal with lots of cc scars.
On their way back they saw a seal keeping Luana company. They ID'd her companion as RW02 PvKauai.

Team R&B started out early at a west side location. They were surprised to seal already hauled out on
high rocks and was hidden. It took them a while to get an ID. Finally the seal moved and flipped over and they recognized R3CU. His scars and sharkbite scar were visible. He was really dry, so he had been there for awhile, maybe sometime during the night.
All of a sudden a little seal came by and entered the small cave. It took a while for the seal to come out and when it did they were able to see it was RP84 Pe'ekai.  He cautiously hauled in and stayed on lower rocks.

Team R&B got word of a seal hauled out at one of the busier location, so they went to check it out.
There was Lefty RG28 alone and getting slammed by the waves. They got two signs and put them out and advised people to stay back and five the seal some room. There were some folks who passed by and were very quiet walking fast and not stopping. Then there were the folks that didn't care.
Team R&B called the hotline and waited. A volunteer finally arrived and she put out signs. Two on Waianae side and three on Honolulu side.
While watching Lefty they heard a tourist say there was another seal over there. Team R&B went to the rocks to see and sure enough there was a seal. Not just any seal, it was their beloved Benny RE74, resting peacefully on rocks, alone and looking healthy.
Two folks they had spoken to earlier walked up to Benny. This certainly rubbed Team R&B the wrong way so they yelled out to step back. Thankfully they did.  The whole family gathered and Team R&B told them all about Benny.  They also told them how in the past he use to come looking for our beloved Pohaku, no longer with us.
