03/20/2022 Sunday's Dailies

Todays dailies are brought to you by posse pal Justin, Marilyn and Team R&B💕.  In yesterdays news department we have an update from Marilyn. She did view Rabbit Island today but got skunked.  She had gone yesterday and sent the report late.

Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island on Saturday from 11:05 to 12:30 and there were a total of three seals.
Initially there were two until she became aware of the third seal later in her observation.
On the Lanikai side of LPB was a S/F: subadult size, fairly light female belly and two red tags. There "might" have been a a nb on left side or it might have been sand, so this critter is reported as Unidentified Subadult/Female.
On waterfront rocks near SRI was RK24 Bruno/Wawamalu. He was identified by his subadult size, male belly and scar on his right side about a third forward of his rear flippers. His tags were no visible.
At 12:10 Marilyn became aware of a seal near the waterline about 30 feet Lanikai side of the 1BS. Although there appear to be seal tracks on the sand, Marilyn did not see it during numerous sweeps of the beach earlier. She believes the seal to be a A/F: subadult to adult size, yellowish brown female belly and two red tags.
Posse pal Justin T. saw 2 monk seals on Oahu in a very secluded spot.
RG32 (male born on Molokai in 2015) identified by his scar above his right eye, male belly and a partially obscured flipper tag.
M26 Nohea with flipper tags M26 &M27.

Team R&B started at the outfall and once again found Nalu R3CX foraging with his smooth approach. They spotted a second seal with a green snout. They determined it was Kaale RH32 cruising in his old stomping grounds, but he soon disappears.

They moved to a close by area and after studying the location they see two seals who finally moved. There was RH32 Kaale with RL08 and they were arguing.
If the two of them arguing wasn't enough excitement, here comes another seal. It's RG28 Lefty who made his way up the rocks. Kaale and Lefty fought on the rocks and now the three are going at it.
There was lots of action seen with the three of them. Seems the two older boys want RL08's attention, poor kid moved out of the way to the right.
AND it just gets better, RN14 Kalani arrives. He hauled up on the rocks, galumphed up but stayed away from the others. (smart seal).

Last seal was at another west side location where they found the kid Pe'ekai. He was on the rocks snoozing all by his lonesome.  They did a recheck before heading home and he was still there and alone.
