03/18/2022 Friday's Dailies

Todays dailies are brought to you by Marilyn and Team R&B💕

Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 1:00 to 2:30 and there were two seals on island during her observation.
About 50 feet Makapuu of 3BS was a S/F:  subadult size, lighter female belly with some green and two tags. Marilyn did not see any nb which would indicate it was RK37, so it is being reported as subadult female.
Another 60-70 feet Makapuu of the S/F was a subadult male that Marilyn believes to me RK24 Wawamalu/Bruno: subadult size, light male belly, scar on left lower chin area, scar on right side with two tags.

Team R&B was out this morning looking at the water and all the snorkelers, divers and boogie boarders then they spot a seal hauling up on the rocks. The sun glare was horrible making it hard to see the seal. Thankfully the seal showed its lower butt area showing a cyst and cookie scar on mid back. It was 3 year old RL08.
Then they see a seal already up on the rocks with RL08. They were able to ID RK72 Kekoa Alii. The two of them rested peacefully, RL08 was a little gentleman and had no reaction to Kekoa joining him.

Team R&B headed over to another west side location. They were happy to find their little Pe'ekai RP84, snoozing on the rocks alone today. When they did a recheck later he was no longer there.

Their next find at the bay. They spotted a seal so well hidden in the rocks. Finally they saw its tags RL20. There was Kalua RL20 tucked away.

Of course being in the area they had to recheck on the swan and its chick. They saw one fat chick and Mom.
