Team R&B started their morning checking the outfall. Seems there was a party going on where the eating was good, as there were multiple seals foraging. Of course along with the foraging there was fighting and they were in and out of the outfall. Amazingly the following seals were ID'd: Kekoa Alii RK72, Lefty RG28, Nalu R3CX and Kaale RH32. What a crew!
Just outside of the outfall they spotted a young seal going after adivers fish on a floater. They could not make the ID, but it was one smart seal.
Checking out a few other locations they found Lefty had landed at tracks and there were lots of folks out on the beaches. They called the hotline immediately and hoped that someone showed up to manage the people.
They also spotted RH32 Kaale at another nearby beach. He had landed and with a lot of people on the beach at least he had a little more room to land.
Seems there were several folks reaching out to them about a seal hauling out at secrets. When they arrived they found a seal on the rocks near the footpath. It was RN14 Kalani, and once again called the hotline.
Team R&B stayed on site for 4 hours, and during that time no volunteer arrived. They did all they could to give the seal some space, but had to leave the site. As they were leaving Kalani made his way towards the sandy area.
After leaving they continued to get calls of the seal on the sand and the need for someone out there. Shame there wasn't anyone available today to follow up.
Back tracking to some of their earlier stops they found Kekoa Alii RK72 had hauled out on the rocks. Then they noticed RL08 who was joined by Lefty RG28.
At another west side location they were happy to find RP84 Pe'ekai. He was alone near seal inlet.
Their next and last find of the day was RL70 Leina. She was on the rocks chilling out and alone. She was fronting the camps in the area, hopefully noone will notice her.
