Today's dailies are brought to you by our ole' pal Diane and Team R&B💕.
Team R&B had another trying day, they searched and initially found nothing. They took a break for lunch and decided to give it another try. Thank goodness as they finally spotted one seal on the rocks resting alone. There was RL62 Leia who just weaned P03 Puka! Her cookie scar on her side and shark bite scar on her head were visible. Good to know she's doing well and will fatten up soon.
At another west side location they saw five local boys by a seal who was high up on the rocks. The seal
was posturing at the boys, they had her surrounded yelling at her. By the time Team R&B could get to the spot the boys were proud of themselves for running the seal off. Team R&B were able to ID RL70 Leina. They do not have any photos of the incident. They kept their eyes open for RL70 but they never saw her again.Although Team R&B did not see any seals in the early morning, they did find a pod of dolphins who were having a great time at play. Then the boats, swimmers and paddlers came and all was lost.
Diane did the Ka'ena Point trek with Lesley today. They saw six seals, mostly all boys including the little fatso Puka P03. They found RG40 Holokai, RN58 Luana, R407 Kawika, RW02 PvKauai, RO40 Ka'ena and the weaner!
