Today's dailies are brought to you by Melody and Team R&B 💕. In other news it sounded as though earlier today Kaiwi had weaned P02. But she returned, left and returned, it's unclear whether mom and pup reunited. But it's that time for P02 to be on his own and for Kaiwi to go off and get some food in her belly.
Team R&B were at pokai bay and saw a seal foraging. Yesterday they reported a green u/u and today they are positive it was RL20 Kalua. He was there again this morning and they watched him for over an hour.
They got a call a seal hauled out at paradise cove, so off they went and found lots of people on the
beach and three signs on the sand. There was RW22 Kolohe on the rocks sleeping. One of the visitors walked up to him with his child on the dangerous reef. (It always amazes me how careless some parents are with their kids). Other folks were passing the signs paying no attention to them. But there was a group of people, a nice family obeying the signs and still able to enjoy Kolohe on the rocks. While checking out a west side location, they found the lovely Kala RH76 snoozing on the rocks. She was very alert and sure enough after about 20 minutes later she was hit with waves and she left. They were lucky to see her when they did. They did see a big fire burning in the Maili area. I am convinced if I want to know what's happening on the west side before the nightly news, I'll just ask Team R&B.
Lately Team R&B haven't been finding as many seals so you can only imagine how happy they were to find two seals snoozing on the rocks peacefully. There was Lei Ola RH48 in her beautiful new coat with the very large RN14 Kalani. Seems Kalani was very happy to be with Lei Ola.
Melody sent a video of Loli'i's first solo swim. It was a long emotional day for all the on lookers and Kaiwi. The kid seems to be doing just fine.
He's a big boy now!
