Today's dailies are brought to you by Lesley, Melody and Team R&B💕. Lesley had another very busy day, her complete update is part two of the dailies.
Melody received a call first thing this morning about a seal at Iroquois Point, so Melody went to check. Luckily the seal seas still there because it was moving its way towards the water. Signs had been posted and the beach was fairly quiet. Melody was able ID Rocky by the natural bleach mark on her LFF. Someone mentioned to Melody that Rocky arrived a little after sunset and spent the night. Meanwhile Rocky was slowly making her way into the water. When she finally made it in Melody could see her forage for food in the jetty. She spent about 15 minutes for her breakfast then headed out heading in the Diamond Head direction. As a side note Melody did spend sometime on the west side with Team R&B.
Team R&B spent breakfast watching over their little green boy RL20 Kalua. He was foraging, but
today spent a lot of time going between the kayaks, who were out there fishing. Then RL20 went to the buoy, to the jetty area and even avoiding the people on SUP boards.Team R&B spent hours watching Lei Ola RH48 foraging. She spent most of her time out by the buoy. They left to check some other spots. When they returned later in the day Miss Lei Ola RH48 hauled out on shore on the rocks, chilling in the hot sun.
At another west side location looking for seals they spoke with some fishermen catching fish. After hanging for a bit they were just about ready to leave when they spotted a seal foraging off shore. They waited and waited, and finally they spotted RL70 Leina coming into the area. She came in on lower rocks, and Team R&B's new fisherman friend was pretty impressed by the seal hauling out. Team R&B then filled him on "all about Leina". Later in the day when they did a recheck she was still on the rocks snoozing. The waves had surrounded her, which startled her for a moment. She stretched and went back to sleep.
