Team Billand went to check the outfall early morning and found Kaale RH32 foraging and.... yes stealing fish. There was a second seal, who did not give them anything to go on to get an ID. They both left and was heading towards tracks, so that is where Team Billand went next. They waited and spotted a man with his dog, when the dog took off for the water. The gentleman held the dog back and sure enough Kaale came by looking, turned back towards the outfall. Despite their checking they never saw him again.
They did a late check at the bay. They spotted R3CX Nalu foraging on ocean side and he never landed.
Then there was RN44 and RL20 Kalua, both were on the rocks during their observation. Lei Ola RH48 was ocean side, hanging out with the boys. She's a tough cookie when they get out of hand she gives them a flipper smack with her hind flippers.Team Billand was surprised to discover after looking at their photos, that one of the seal was RH36 Kawena in the group. They spotted her signature scar right side of mouth from the a hooking a few years back.
At 3:00 Team Billand checked one of the other west side locations and found Kekoa Alii RK72 alone on lower rocks. He was chilling and one happy camper.
