Today's dailies are brought to you by Team Billand and Marilyn. We hope you all had a wonderful, safe Thanksgiving.
Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island between 10:45 to 12:15, it was mostly overcast. There were three seals on island today each one on their own.
Near the 1BS an unknown adult size (UA) dark newer coat and at least one tag. This seal only showed its flipper end. Marilyn thought maybe RG32, but nothing to confirm.
Near the 2BS was RW22 Kolohe, adult size, new coat, gray male belly, NB behind RFF and no visible
tag. He possibly has a new wound on his forehead. He still seams to be in post-molting behavior.Near 3BS was an unknown weaner size (UW) no visible tags, older coat with a fair amount of green. This critter only showed its flipper end so Marilyn was unable to determine its sex.
Team Billand was at the Bay by 7:15 and immediately saw a lot of commotion with the seals in the water. They were fighting and were further out. As they came closer Team Billand could see Nalu R3CX with his mouth opened and vocalizing. Along with Nalu was RH48 Lei Ola and RL20 Kalua. Team Billand also got to see the dolphins playing and lots of people in the water.
Kaale was out at the bay but he was by the jetty ocean side. There were fishermen tossing their lines in the water and Kaale did his thing. At one point Kaale interacted with RL20 Kalua. ( This kid made the rounds today). RN44 was seen interacting with RL20 Kalua.
Team Billand went to check another west side location and found Kekoa RK72 on left rocks. He was alone, looking fat and comfortable.
