11/20/2020 Friday Monk Seal Dailies

Today's dailies are brought to you by Team Billand.

Team Billand found Benny just before 7 am at PC. He was on shore sleeping in a zone marked off with 5 signs. They called the hotline. When the volunteer arrived they filled them in on Benny and his weird throaty movement, a habit he's had for a long time.

At 8:30 they found Kekoa Alii RK72 at a westside location. He was at his usual spot on lower rocks resting peacefully. He was still there on their afternoon check. 

Team Billand arrived at the bay and fround Lei Ola RH48 foraging for the entire time. She on

occasion spent time fighting with Nalu R3CX. At first he was at the sandy side of the bay trying to haul out. But there were some folks with an unleashed dog. There was some barking and then R3CX left the site. They were surprise to later find him hauled up on the rocks. He was resting until RL20 Kalua came into the area and Nalu charged him. They argued for a bit and then they both hung out until Nalu headed over to Lei Ola and didn't come back.

At 10:30 they spotted an animal coming into the area, came in and hauled up. It was RN44 and he gently approached Kalua RL20 who was sleeping. RN44 made his way over and went to sleep. They both were there all day.

Team Billand headed out and checked another west side location.  Just after 2 they found Lefty RG28 alone. He was snoozing upside down in a shallow pond. Very sweet.
