Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from about 12:15 to 2:00 and the Mom and Pup pairs were the only seals on island.6
About 1:05 MO7 (probably RL12 Aukai) and PO7 hauled out onto LPB. Not to long thereafter, PO7 started toward the water and apparently approached MO6 & P06 in the tide pool. MO7 wasn't happy and came charging down the beach with her mouth open.
Then about 1:30, MO6 (probably RH76 Kala) and PO6 hauled out in the direction of the 1BS. Five minutes later, MO7&PO7 hauled out close to LPB rock flats.
Later all the seals settled down and PO6 started nursing. An exciting day at Maternity Island.
Team R&B had been looking and finally at one of the west side locations they got lucky. There wasRP30 Puka, on the rocks trying to get himself into a comfortable position. The kid is very green.
Junior Sealette made the trek to Ka'ena west with them on this hot sunny day. The only critter they found was Pe'ekai RP84. He was in the same area as the last time they saw him.
Just when they thought Pe'ekai was going to be their only find, they were lucky to see another.
They found RL74 Kami in a little pond. She was alone and snoozing.
