Marilyn viewed Maternity Island, I mean Rabbit Island from 12:40 to 2:20 and it was just the two moms and their pups.
MO6-PO6 are now closest to the rock flats on the Lanikai side of LPB while MO7-PO7 were closer to the 1BS side of LPB.
MO6 (probably RH76) hardly changed position during her viewing. PO6 nursed for some time, then crawled over Mom and settled down on her back side for a snooze. They would occasionally get hit by a wave.
MO7-PO7 were further forward on the beach. PO7 nursed, then crawled around behind MO7 and then they both snoozed the rest of the time.
Team R&B didn't see any seals in the morning hours, none. So they took junior sealette for the Ka'ena West trek hoping they would find at least one critter.
As luck would have it they found RP84 Pe'ekai snoozing. He was alone on the rocks. The kid is getting greener. He is doing just fine on his own in the middle of nowhere.
They kept going out at Ka'ena West despite the hot sun, and finally they found a 2nd seal. It was RW02 PvKauai in a very shallow pond, with his tags visible.
They noticed teeth marks on the right side of his neck. They hadn't seen them before.
After their Ka'ena Trek they checked some west side sites and at one location they found RP30 Puka. He was snoozing in a pond keeping cool. He was alone today and was their last find.
