06/13/2022 Monday's Dailies

Todays dailies are brought to you by Marilyn and Team R&B💕

Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 2:50 to 4:00 and there were seven seals during her observation.
Together on the Lanikai side were the Moms and Pups. The Mom&Pup pairs appeared to be very close to each other when she first arrived. Eventually they separated some and then ended up fairly close to each other again. LPB is a deep beach and it is difficult to know how much separation there really is, but Marilyn mentioned there is always worry the pups could get confused and switch.
As usual PO7 spent a lot of time hidden behind MO7.

Just up from SRI were two seals.
J/M - juvenile to subadult, tannish male belly, not sure about tags. This seal may have a scar on right side.
Mostly hidden behind the J/M was an U/J #1 - juvenile size, light belly and two tags. Marilyn though it might be R7AF but never got a look at right side for N2 bleach.
Out on the rocks of the Makapuu side of RRB was U/J#2 - juvenile size, unknown gender or tags. Marilyn is reasonable sure this is the same seal that was there yesterday.

Team R&B got a text from Melina that there was a seal and when they arrived they found RK28 KC again.  She has so many scars, quite the survivor.  Cookie scar on the left side of her head, scar at left fore flipper. Actually there are several CC scars all over. Probably the most dramatic is the mobbing scar on her back.  Although its wonderful to see and spend time with her, lets hope she is resting up to make her way to Kauai.

Team R&B headed over to a popular stop for the seals, and right away they see RH32 Kaale and RL08. Then to the right on a bed of Limu was RN14 Kalani.  If that wasn't enough there was RL20 Kalua in between the rocks snoozing.
On their second check of the site there was some action, all the boys were arguing and moving about.

At another west side location they saw a huge seal on the rocks, but by the time they made it over the seal took off.
Then they noticed a seal rolling  in the pond and hauled inland. This was RL70 Leina, her big scar on her neck, ding on her left should and a little scar over her left eye, not to mention her tags.
They spotted RP30 foraging with another seal. The other was big, clean coat with some kind white bleach marks on left side of body.
