Melody went to check on Rocky RH58 and it seems she had spent the night at one of her favorite west side beaches. When Melody arrived at 8:45 am Rocky was already making her way to the waters edge. There was a large zone set up for her. It appeared she was going to be leaving soon, but Rocky took her sweet time. She let the waves help take her out at 11:52. As she was leaving the cove a submarine was leaving Pearl Harbor. Melody was able to capture the submarine as it was going past Diamond Head.
Rocky's sighting was called into the hotline.
Team T&D hiked Ka'ena Point and their first find was Lina RL98 in a spot they had not seen her before. Next they saw a seal hauling out just as they arrived and it was Benny RE74.
They caught up with Lesley just as she was leaving the NAR, and she informed them of Kami RL74 was hiding. They were happy to get the info otherwise would have missed her.
Next was Ka'ena RO40 and lastly was Nalu R3CX. Funny Nalu was just on the west side. They spotted a seal doing a swim by and telescoping checking out Nalu, turns out it was Nalu. There was some barking between the two but that's as far as it went.
On their way back they stopped to check on weaner RQ24. Down on the beach from Q24 was Lefty RG28. They watched Q24 playing with some seaweed then hauling out.
Despite their looking today Team R&B only found two seals at a west side location. They found one of their favorite new kids RP84 Pe'ekai. He's back and was on lower rocks very alert today. They weren't sure why he seemed so alert if there was another seal in the area or if any person had been messing with him.
Same site but different spot was RN14 Kalani. He was to the right side of water front rocks. Just yesterday he was with Rocky. Guess she turned him down.
