October 4, 2024 Friday's Dailies

Todays dailies are brought to you by Marilyn and Team R&B💕

Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 12:26 to 1:37 pm and there were three seals seen during that time.
Between 1BS and 3BS was a Juvenile Female: larger juvenile size, light to medium gray female belly and two red tags. It is possible this seal is molting, but it might just be sand. On the slope behind the seal are lots of tracks. Marilyn wasn't sure if they were made by the seals or turtles. The seals don't usually go very high up the dunes in this area.
Between 3BS and SRI was R7AF: juvenile to sub-adult size, brown male belly and two red tags. This seal may have a scar above it left eye.
At SRI was a seal Marilyn labeled as a Juvenile Male: juvenile size, light male belly and tow red tags. It is possible that this is big weaner RT90, but she wasn't sure.

Team R&B first stop at pokai they found Miss Kala RH76. She was alone resting peacefully.
On their recheck in the afternoon, she was still there.

While in the area they spotted a kayak out in the water close to where two seals were foraging. It appears Nalu R3CX and Lei Ola RH48 were out there today filling their bellies.

At another west side location they made the long walk down and found two seals. There was RK72 Kekoa Alii on the lower rocks. They could see his tags, the mesh from the sat tag and his hind flippers.
To his right was RM31 Kai. He was alone and resting peacefully.

Last stop at Kahe they spotted a seal swimming. The seal was heading towards the rocks and the seal came in as they waited. It was a very green male who they ID'd as RL20 Kalua.
