Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 12:30 to 2:10 pm and there were four seals seen during that time.
Alone on the middle of LPB was R416 Makali'i: sub-adult size, newer coat, light male belly with distinctive dark patches and scars.
Initially near 3BS was an Adult Male. He entered the water about 12:39 pm and hauled out 10 minutes later near 1BS. The AM is adult size, old coat, male belly and at least one red tag. He has started molting on his chest area and Marilyn estimated that he is about 20% molted.
Out on RRB were two seals:
R7AF: sub-adult size, new coat, two red tags and light male belly.
Sub-adult Female: sub-adult size, old coat, about 30% molted on the ventral size, female belly, unsure about tags.
About 1:30 pm, R7AF entered the water and about 10 minutes later he hauled out to the Adult Male. R7AF then galumphed by the AM and went up into the dunes where he showed his male belly. He later moved back down to the waterline.
Team R&B started their day at the bay. There they found RH32 Kaale who ended up being the only seal on land today. Kaale was alone and alert, kept looking around. They tried their best to wait and see if another seal would show up, but no such luck.
They returned later in the day to check, but Kaale was gone.
The dolphins showed up, swimming about and sometimes jumping. Then all of sudden they all took off out to sea.
Next they headed over to rest camp and there were lots of people outlooking for seals, and finding them in the water. Team R&B spotted a clean adult seal with lots of scars on its face. They just don't know who this critter is. The folks on paddle boards were also aware of it too.
A few of the seals were further out today, making it harder to see them or get decent photos. Team R&B spotted the "clean seal" again, with all the scars on its head and face.
They watched a fisherman, who did nothing to provoke the seals, he was just fishing. But the seals were interested in him when they came around. This time team R&B saw the adult green seal, with another seal.
