October 5, 2024 Saturdays Dailies

Todays dailies are brought to you by Marilyn and Team R&B💕

Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 12:55 to 2:20 pm and there were two seals seen during that time.
Initially behind waterfront rocks on Lanikai side of LPB was a seal she labeled as Unknown Subadult: subadult size, two red tags, not sure of the sex but it appears this seal is beginning to molt (15%). Later the US galumphed along the beach to meet up with the other seal. The US may be R7AF, it may have a scar above its left eye.
Marilyn is labeling the other seal as weaner RT19: weaner size, two red tags, light male belly. There was some interaction between the US RT19 and then they both went
into the water about 2:10 pm.

Team R&B started their day at Kahe. They spotted a seal from afar and went to check it out. There was RL20 Kalua resting alone. The poor guy has so many hooking scars.

They saw the dolphins today, unfortunately they were surrounded by snorkelers, paddle boarders and swimmers.

Next they headed over to pokai where they spotted two seal foraging.
There were lots of folks in the water today and the seals didn't stick around for long.  One had a greenish coat and one had a clean coat, but they didn't get good enough photos to make a positive ID.
Also they checked the area, Miss Kala wasn't at her spot today.

Lastly they spotted a small seal onshore at yoks. They headed over to check it out and found RP28. There were two signs out and four orange flags.
