Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 12:25 to 1:48 pm and there were eight seals seen during that time.
Near LPB surge channel was Adult Female 1: adult size, somewhat thin, dark coat and dark female belly, and two red tags. She has been in this general location for most of the week.
Just down from the 1BS was R416 Makali'i: sub-adult male, newer coat, very light ventral showing male belly and a number of scars and pigmented areas and not tags.
R7AF: sub-adult size, new coat, light gray male belly and two red tags.
Sub-adult Female: sub-adult size, new coat, light female belly and two red tags.
Weaner RT19: weaner size, yellow male belly and two red tags.
RK24 Bruno: adult size, new coat, medium gray male belly, two red tags and scar on right rear side.
In the middle cliff area, there was a Sub-adult Male: smaller sub-adult size, new coat, light male belly and unsure about tags. About 1 pm the SM moved down behind water front rocks and there was only one flipper flex after that.
Between middle cliff and 3BS was Adult Female 2: robust adult size, light to medium gray female belly, two red tags, and a scar on the ventral chest/lower neck. She may have a scar on her right shoulder (it could have been a spot of water)
Team R&B started out their day with little luck, in that they didn't see any seals. They decided to hang out at pokai with hopes one would show up. Then they heard a bellow, then another and another. From the water they spotted a seal with its mouth wide open. It was RL20Kalua making his presence known. Then another seal that was green popped it, they were surprised to see RG28 Lefty. They two of them fought, played and barked at each other, eventually the moved in a westerly direction.
Team R&B headed over to rest-camp where there were multiple seals. It is a challenge to keep track of who is who. For example, there are an unknown male, R3CX Nalu and RG28 Lefty all who are green.
They spotted RL20 by a paddle boarder, his girlfriend was all smiles seeing the seals up close.
Next they saw that the unknown female with green snout was out and about. Nalu R3CX was out there too, hanging out with the U/F with the green snout.
They then went back to pokai side and found a male. They believe this U/M is R617, he was alone resting the rocks.
Team R&B went and covered all the other spots on the west side, but didn't find any other seals. To they tried one more visit to pokai and it paid off.
Kalua RL20 who came back was in his pond alone. He was actually blowing bubbles.
Then they spotted a huge, fat female. When she moved they saw her tags, no number just red. The unknown female with the green snout, is Lei Ola RH48 !!! She finally landed and the mystery was solved.
Team R&B got a glimpse from afar of shoreline at rest-camp. They saw a seal hauling out, with a fan taking a video. They believe the seal was R3CX Nalu.
